Although recorded in Minnesota, Bootleg On Broadway was written in a different state. Not literaly but figurativly. Guitarist and songwriter Jeff Page hails from Ridgway . A small Pennsylvania town in the heart of the Allegheny National Forrest . Many of the songs on this recording resonate with the essence that is the Lily of the Valley. Home of the Mighty Elkers Memories of days gone by and visions of days to come put to melodies and rythems. Bootleg On Broadway is nothing more than a glorified home recording, produced and engineered in the back of a Carhartt clothing store located at 324 West Broadway Ave in Minneapolis Mn. Tradewear , owned and operated by "Arnie the Boilermaker" served not only as studio but also rehersal space for the band's live shows. With tape rolling all the time, new arrangements could be recorded as they happened. Bootleg... as I like to call it is the captured energy of a work in progress. ...jlp | ![]() |
